    Does Wendy’s Accept Food Stamps?

    JackBy JackJune 25, 2022Updated:July 6, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

SNAP is a federal anti-hunger program that supplements the budgets of low-income families and other disadvantaged groups to buy nutritious foods. Wendy’s is one of the restaurants that accepts food stamps. Those who qualify must live in a state that extends SNAP through the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) and meet certain requirements. EBT cards are accepted at 200 Wendy’s locations across five counties in California.

For SNAP customers, Wendy’s will not accept EBT payments online or through their mobile app. However, in-store purchases may be made using EBT, although this is limited to a few select locations. The good news is that you can use your EBT balance to purchase protein powder and bagged ice in SNAP-approved stores. Unfortunately, Wendy’s does not accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, or PayPal.

Unfortunately, if you’re a resident of California and qualify for SNAP, you can still purchase Wendy’s food using EBT. However, EBT is not accepted for online or in-app orders, and you must have a California SNAP card to be accepted. Additionally, EBT does not work for delivery. So, if you’re wondering if Wendy’s will accept EBT in California, you might want to check the eligibility requirements before you head over to your local restaurant.

As a matter of policy, Wendy’s only accepts food stamps for purchase in California. In most states, however, they do not accept EBT in their restaurants. Therefore, it’s best to check with the RMP for Wendy’s locations in your state. If it does, check with the restaurant’s website or call the company to confirm if they are eligible to participate in the program.
